Chief Moore has been elected or appointed to numerous leadership positions which include:
Chairman, Springfield, Illinois Civil Service Commission;
Chairman, Springfield Human Relations Commission;
President and Founder of the Land of Lincoln Chapter, of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE).
President, Illinois Affirmative Action Association;
Member of the Board of Directors for both the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and the Sangamon County United Way;
Secretary of Board, Triangle Center (Alcohol and Substance Abuse Center);
President, Frontiers International, Springfield, Illinois.
Presently serving as President,
Land of Lincoln Chapter National Organization of Black Law enforcement Executive.
Work with Frontier International, with there Junior Frontier and Positive Youth Program.
